A visual production company providing creative video and photography solutions, The Foto Bros. are on a mission to communicate and connect.

Comprised of photographer Larry J. Frazier and producer Carl W. Heyward, Jr., the Foto Bros. are two working artists who are crisscrossing the city, capturing images and telling Columbia's stories.

In addition to covering the recent Fig Holiday launch party, Carl and Larry have been working alongside fellow Fig blogger Holly Heaton (@messykitchgirl) in sharing about the people behind Columbia's local food scene in Souls of the Kitchen, so far featuring Erin Nobles, owner of Silver Spoon Bake Shop, Mike Duganier, co-owner of Publico Kitchen + Tap, and Will Lacey, executive chef at Yellow Dog Barbecue.

Keeping tabs on the Columbia art scene as well, this duo has covered events like the opening reception at Goodall Gallery, featuring The Black Opera and local artist Cedric Umoja (whose "We Bleed Too" exhibit runs through December 18).

Finally, The Foto Bros. are working hard in Columbia's thriving hip-hop scene, directing the first visual from Cole Connor's debut release, SODA, helping create the music video for the title track and the city that inspired this project.

Catch a vision of Columbia through their creative lenses by liking The Foto Bros. on Facebook, following them on Instagram, and keeping up with their upcoming blog posts.

The Foto Bros - The Foto Bros

A visual production company providing creative video and photography solutions, the goal of The Foto Bros. is to communicate and connect.

Larry J. Frazier is a photographer and producer originally from Chicago, Illinois. Growing up on Chicago’s West Side, Larry understands why those who don’t usually have a voice and are invisible need to be seen and heard.  While obtaining his Bachelor of Arts degree in History at South Carolina State University, he had the opportunity to study photography, cultivating his raw talent and passion for capturing images. Over the last 10 years, Larry has worked in multiple public service positions via City Year Columbia and South Carolina DSS, Larry discovered similar narratives in Columbia that are being played out in Chicago. With a love for history, visual communication, and the active change of the human condition, Larry has poured his soul into his friendship and business with Carl Heyward Jr. to form The Foto Bros..

Producer Carl W. Heyward, Jr. is from South Carolina’s Lowcountry, raised in the small town of Cross, SC. Understanging the importance in creating a strong community of family and friends that truly  support and care for one another, Carl pursued his Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication at Benedict College in Columbia,  where he also served as the Station Manager for BCTV Productions, the college’s news station. After dabbling in Sports Broadcasting, Carl realized his passion for creative storytelling and made the switch to a career in Video Production. Since graduating, Carl has managed one video production and photography company, CHQ Productions, prior to linking with business partner and dear friend, Larry Frazier. He says, “The most important principle I’ve learned is to always be truthful and transparent, both in business and your personal life.”
